The Veil and Véu story
From the moment Natalie’s engagement ring was on her finger back in Christmas 2018, her sights were set on Swan Lake as her dream wedding venue. Her best friend had recently attended a wedding there and showed Natalie photos. Upon realising it would be virtually impossible to get married there due to the language barrier, Natalie’s dreams were nearly shattered. By chance, Tania happened to be the bride of that Swan Lake wedding Natalie had seen photos of, and through a mutual friend offered to help plan Natalie’s wedding day as she is fluent Portuguese.
They quickly hit it off, and Tania went on to plan the most perfect wedding day for Natalie and Scott at Fountain Lane! Following the wedding they received the most incredible feedback, ‘it was like a celebrity wedding’, ‘you should make this possible for other UK couples’. It was the latter comment that went on to spark the idea for both Natalie and Tania, and also the fact they had enjoyed the planning process so much. That was how Veil & Véu was created, to continue their shared passion for making destination weddings available for other couples.
Tania and Natalie have the most incredible bond as both friends, and as professional wedding planners ensuring Veil & Véu couples have the wedding day they could have only ever dreamed of. They both have young families that they love spending their time with, but also they love escaping the daily grind to hop on a plane to Portugal and watch the couples they work with become Mr & Mrs.

With a background in organising large events and having experienced my own destination wedding, I discovered my passion for wedding planning. I will often be your first contact when enquiring about a wedding with us, and I love nothing more than personally getting to know our couples, creating a bespoke package and going on the wedding planning journey with you. Being involved with turning dreams in to reality is the best job in the world!

I have always had a passion for logistics, organisation and planning and an extraordinary wedding requires much more than that, it requires a visionary outlook. Being Portuguese and planning a destination wedding myself, I searched high and low to find the perfect venues and suppliers, and together we strive for nothing less than perfection! Booking your wedding with Veil and Véu can be several days of celebrations, I organise all logistics and suppliers making it a seamless and stress free process.

Based in the North of Portugal and with a background in management and hospitality. Running the family vineyard and hospitality business, I have found my passion for organisation, and I love nothing more than meeting new people from all around the world. 2022 has been my first year with Veil and Véu and I love meeting with new couples, showing them around their wedding venue for the first time and organising the logistics with our Portuguese suppliers.
