Complete Indian wedding planning in Portugal: Deborah & Mo’s beautiful multi-day celebrations

At Veil & Véu, we specialise in creating unforgettable weddings that celebrate the traditions, cultures, and values of our couples. From grand Indian weddings filled with age-old customs to elegant Asian weddings that combine modernity and tradition, we ensure that every event is planned, coordinated, and filled with joy.

Deborah and Mo's wedding was a beautiful example of how we bring cultural celebrations to life. Their wedding took place over two days and included a mix of Indian traditions and a stunning white wedding at Fountain Lane.

The first day was all about honouring Indian customs, with a series of ceremonies that reflect the richness of Indian weddings. Starting with a Haldi/Pithi ceremony in the courtyard of the hotel where they were staying. This pre-wedding ritual, in which turmeric paste is applied to the bride and groom, symbolises purification and the blessings of good fortune. The event was held in a picturesque courtyard, with the courtyard’s fountain adding a beautiful backdrop.

Following the Haldi/Pithi, the party moved on to the Sangeet/Mehndi in the Olive Garden. The evening came alive with the sound of traditional music, dhol players, and traditional dancing. The Sangeet and Mehndi are some of the most anticipated events in an Indian wedding, and the Olive Garden was the perfect setting.

On the second day, Deborah and Mo had their white wedding at Fountain Lane. The decor, ambiance, and flow of the day reflected the couple’s vision of a dream white wedding, set against the stunning backdrop of Fountain Lane.
